In January 2017, our second Generation Schools campus opened in Hermanus, South Africa.

We are a school that strives to provide a carefully planned stimulating environment that assists children with developing within themselves the foundational habits, attitudes, skills, and ideas that are essential for a lifetime of creative thinking and learning.

Generation Schools welcomes all our new students to a vibrant, innovative and engaged family, where we strive to develop a community within a school environment.

Our Hermanus campus caters for students from the age of 18 months to Exit. Students who start with us in our Nest Phase have the opportunity to stay within our campus until they have their Degree.

Nikki Malcomess

Head of Hermanus

Nikki Malcomess holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, a Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising and Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Education through Bath University, United Kingdom. 

Nikki is a passionate and dedicated educator. Her experience working in international schools across London, Hong Kong and Mauritius has curated a profound understanding of the power of education and the opportunities it provides. Nikki espouses the Montessori system of education within a Cambridge framework, where students are encouraged to inquire and be curious about their knowledge acquisition.

Nikki is driven by serving the community she works in and supporting the development of the whole child. She believes that education should be about offering students as many pathways to individual choice as possible. Generation Schools is the ideal environment to do this in and she is proud to be part of the group in a town she loves, Hermanus.
